Scope and Content
The file contains the verdict of Josef Grütz (born 17 November 1891 in Bolko). On April 8 1945 an airstrike destroyed huge parts of Eger – inter alia the train station. The defendant had stored his belongings at the (later severely bombed) train station. While he was not able to find his own bag, he took another one and two tins. A woman saw him and reported to the authorities. He was sentenced to death.
