Scope and Content

The file consists of quotations by various Nazi publication about Vienna and Austria after the Anschluss in March 1938. The "German" character of the country and its capital is emphasized and the overall excitement of its people and leadership to finally be able to join Germany. Dr. Seyss-Inquart mentions that thanks to Austria's greatest son, Adolf Hitler, Austria became part of the German Reich. Each quotation lists the publication, publisher and date of publication.
