Scope and Content
The file is a type script of an article of the Krakauer Zeitung from August 13th, 1944 dealing with the nature and activities of the "Sondergerichte" (special courts). The nature of the cases reaching these courts are explained, and it is emphasized that most offenses are dealt with in regular courts. The article tries to portray these courts as something ordinary that was in existence also before the war and allows judicial recourse. It is also mentioned that death sentences are to be dealt within 48 hours upon reaching a verdict.
