Scope and Content

The file is a compilation of typewritten quotes from Nazi newspapers, books and, speeches of Adolf Hitler, Alfred Rosenberg, and Herrmann Göring on the Führergrundatz (leadership principle). Hitler explains that a Fuehrer has unlimited authority and also the heaviest responsibility (Authority down, responsibility upwards). Leader and follower owe each other unconditional loyalty. A true leader is the first servant of the community, and by ignoring his personal needs he leads with unmatched initiative and performance. Thus he motivates instead of inspiring fear. This kind of ideology justifies the absence of a majority vote and democratic institutions. Each quote lists the publication, title, date and publisher.
