Scope and Content
The file contains quotes from various books and a speech from Benito Mussolini about the strategic importance of the small island of Pantelleria and Sicily. Pantelleria became a military zone in the 30ies, it was considered of strategic importance for submarines trying to cut off the strait of Sicily for Allied ships on their way to the Eastern Mediterranean. Each quote lists the title, book, author, date and publisher.
