Scope and Content

The file is a compilation of quotes from various German newspapers and books on the position of Nazi Germany on strikes. The consensus is against strikes, since they are viewed as outdated and not economic - irresponsible entrepreneurs should be jailed and sterilized (Robert Ley). An announcement by the civil administration in Luxembourg from 1942, claims that strikers are to be shot. Each quote lists publication, date, volume, and publisher, sometimes also the author.
