Scope and Content
The file contains four dated and numerated documents with materials on Germany, based on quotes from Nazi newspapers in Germany and abroad and on new books. The materials reflect the German position on various topics like war strategy and its guiding principles before the outbreak of war; war education in schools; Nazi exports and the importance of an economy based on shipping; German propaganda and some of its sources in the foreign press; Nazi "Godlessness propaganda" in Poland and in the Baltic states and its position towards the Bible itself, Christianity, Judaism; and Germany’s relations to foreign countries like Belgium and Holland in the tradition of Pangermanism. The documents contain also information on discontent in Germany and on a rare collection of anti-Nazi cartoons.
