Scope and Content

The files contain lists of people sentenced to different punishments including death, or executed without trial for numerous offenses against Nazi regulations, in Germany proper or German-occupied countries. Some of the executions were reported in different newspapers. The lists are arranged by the subject of the offenses: treason, arson in wartime, listening-in to foreign broadcasts, offenses against wartime economic regulations, crimes committed during the black-out, political and non-political offenses.
