Scope and Content

The envelope contains information about the persecution of non-Aryan and Jewish property owners and about the aryanization of properties in Nazi Germany. Jewish people were forced out of their homes and businesses. According to the documents, this move was considered righteous as it benefited the German people. The aryanization, the expulsion of Jews from business life, affected many companies in Germany which were consequently transferred into "German" ownership. Affected by the expropriation were also Christian organizations and monasteries whose possessions were confiscated by the Nazi Regime.
