Scope and Content

The 8-page online document contains information about a Wiener library's envelope about the famous zionist Nahum Goldmann (born in 1985, Russian Empire), founder and second president of the Jewish World Congress from 1949 to 1977. Criticizing Israeli politics after World War II, he pleaded for a two-state solution and strove for an Arab-Jewish communication and discourse. A second document contains official biographical information about Goldmann which was found in the envelope itself.
