This online document contains information about a Wiener library's envelope about Lazarus Goldschmidt, the translator of the Babylonian Talmud into German. A second document contains official biographical information about Leopold Goldschmidt. He was a journalist, chief editor of "Frankfurter Neue Presse" and coordinator for Christian-Jewish Collaboration in West-Germany. The biography, published by “Munzinger-Archiv”, was found in the envelope itself.
