Scope and Content

Rudolf Schwarz(1905 –1994) was an Austrian-born conductor of Jewish ancestry. In 1933, he was dismissed from his functions because he was Jewish. A few years later, he was sent to Auschwitz and to Belsen. Released from Belsen by the British army, he was sent to Sweden to recover from typhoid. He became a British citizen and spent the latter half of his life in England. -- Wikipedia
