Scope and Content

Erwin Schüle was born on July 2, 1913 in Cannstatt, Germany, and died on the 5th of September 1993 in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a German prosecutor From December 1958 to August 1966, he was the first head of the Central Office of the Landesjustizverwaltungen to elucidate national socialist crimes in Ludwigsburg . Schüel's NSDAP membership became public only in February 1965 by the General German Intelligence Service . In September 1965, the Soviet Union sent a note to the federal government in which Schüle was branded as a war criminal. From December 1965, the Stuttgart Attorney General took an investigation against Schüle on the basis of these allegations, which was however stopped "in the absence of reasoned offense " at the beginning of April 1966. -- Wikipedia (viewed 25.4.2017)
