Scope and Content

Albert Deutsch was born in New York. He was a journalist and author ("The Mentally Ill in America", "The History of the Public Welfare in New York", "The Shame of the States" etc.), interested in medical-social history. Deutsch was unrelenting in his quest for improved conditions for individuals with little voice of their own.
