Scope and Content

Dr. Rabbi Abraham Cohen was a religious and communal leader of the English Jewry, and among others Vice-President of the British Section of the World Jewish Congress, and President of both the Schechter Society and the University Zionist Society. He was the president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews in the years 1948-1956(?), the leader of the Jewish congregation of Birmingham and the author of several important books, like: "Everyman's Talmud", "The Teachings of Maimonides" and the editor of the Soncino Books of the Bible. -- Dossier
