Scope and Content
The file contains four circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from December 1968 and January 1969. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1593, no. 1589, no. 1587, and no. 1586. They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding the status of being recognized as an expelled person, immediate financial help, professional damages following Nazi persecution, and damages to life.
