The file contains the brochure “The people take the lead – A Record of Progress in Civil Rights, 1948 to 1956” published by the National Labor Service in the United States in 1956. The brochure is part of a series of reports on progresses in Civil Rights which has been published annually since the first report of the Committee on Civil Rights in 1947.
