Scope and Content

The file contains the verdicts of Josef Simanovský (born on 18 March 1906 in Wischnova) and 26 other men and women from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The defendant Josef Simanovský, a farmer, was accused of having illegally sold grain. He was sentenced to death. Following defendants were found guilty of having received illicit goods: Lohel Volman and Marie Huml were sentenced to eight months of prison. Jaroslaus Matějka, Emil Pazdera, Franz Kolář and Josef Ploc were sentenced to six months of prison. Josefine Kadeřábek, Karl Sekyra and Wenzel Mašek each received a five-month prison sentence. The defendants Peter Spurný, Emilie Kopáček and Rosa Dvořák were sentenced to four months of prison. Karl Brotánek, Josefine Čihák, Marie Tyce, Franziska Budínský, Božena Štochl, Marie Šilinger and Veronika Drábek each received a three-month prison sentence. Franz Lukavský and Marie Kulhavý were sentenced to two months of prison. Miroslava Zima, Franz Spousta and Emilie Šaněk received a one-month prison sentence. The defendant Anton Hála was sentenced to three months for illegally slaughtering a pig. The case against Albina Bureš was closed.
