Scope and Content

The file contains the verdict of Josef Rajewski (born on 21 May 1903 in Russoschin), a Polish man. Rajewski was accused of "Wehrkraftzersetzung", a law supressing criticism of the Nazi party and the war effort. According to a witness Rajewski made defeatist statements by questioning Germany's chances of winning the war. The defendant indicated that Germany is losing the war and that he would not join the NSDAP to avoid problems after a potential defeat. Rajewski denied the accusations. The defendant was found guilty and sentenced to eight years of penitentiary.
