The file contains several newspaper cuttings from 1905 published by the Frankfurter Zeitung und Handelsblatt. Among other things, like daily news about Frankfurt, other cities in Germany, the newspaper published information regarding the Juden-Massaker in Russia (jew massacre in Russia). Calls for donation campaigns were published, money was collected and attention was drawn to the situation of the Russian Jews. The work of German Jewish aid organizations is presented. Numerous cities and towns were attacked. Gangs raided Jews, massacred men, women and children, destroyed or robbed their belongings. Christians who wanted to help were also slain. Due to the upcoming winter, help was requested.
