The file contains the verdict of Josef Jakobovits (born on 31 January 1916 in Vienna), Franz Kascha (born on 29 January 1907 in Vienna), Leopold Kascha (born on 18 December 1908 in Vienna), Maria Fischer (born on 30 July 1997 in St. Pölten), Paula Binder (born on 19 December 1913 in Vienna), Johann Putz (born on 1 August 1915 in Vienna) and Ludwig Weseli (born on 7 August 1886 in Vienna). Josef Jakobovits, Franz Kascha and Leopold Kascha worked for the illegal communist organisation "Gegen den Strom" - engl.: against the tide. The codefendants helped to print flyers and/or are guilty of not notifying enemies of the Reich. Josef Jakobovits and Franz Kascha were sentenced to death. Leopold Kascha was sentenced to ten years in a penitentiary, Maria Fischer to five years in a penitentiary, Paula Binder to two years in a penitentiary. Johann Putz and Ludwig Weseli were both sentenced to one year in jail.
