Scope and Content

The file contains the verdict of Franz Houba (born on 13 September 1889 in Konebruss), Anna Luks (born on 19 July 1885 in Konebruss), Antonie Kohout (born on 15 August 1894 in Konebruss), Bohuslava Kohout (born on 26 March 1915 in Prague), Marie Holzmann (born on 28 February 1912 in Melnik) and Johann Lavitschka (born on 23 December 1911 in Prague). The main defendant's rifle saved his life during WWI - thus he insisted to keep it as a mojo although posessing weapons of any kind constitutes a crime. The co-defendants were found guilty of assistance to keeping this crime a secret. Franc Houba was sentenced to death. The other defendants' sentences were respectively: Anna Luks - 6 years in a penitentiary; Antonie Kohout - six years in a penitentiary; Bohuslava Kohout - two years in a penitentiary; Marie Holzmann - two years in a penitentiary; Johann Lavitschka - three years in a penitentiary.
