Scope and Content

The file contains a letter adressed to August Schirmer, who was a German architect, engineer, elected member of the Reichstag and Central Office Manager in the Amt Rosenberg. From 1939 until 1943 he was head of an anti-Jewish propaganda publication service and news agency called Welt-Dienst. Mr Funk, who wrote the letter, pointed out, that the last published news by the Welt-Dienst were not as new and extraordinary as the newspaper reported. He admits that propaganda can bent the truth sometimes and might use informations for its own good, but in this circumstances Mr. Funk made clear, that the Welt-Dienst and other German newsapers went to far. He also attached some newspaper cuttings concerning this reported news. The Welt-Dienst and other German newspapers published informations about Roosevelt, as a main tool of the Jewish Freemasons. Within that they published pictures and informations which were already 3 years old and Roosevelt left already three years ago a comment on those pictures. Also news have been published regarding to the 32. grade of Roosevelts position in the Freemasons. Unfortunately, Mr. Funk pointed out, that the Welt-Dienst should have explained what this means and if this grade is actually exsisting.
