Scope and Content
This file contains a collection of reports by Paul Anderson. One of the reports is about the Field Marshal Erich Rommel, who was a German general and military theorist. Popularly known as the Desert Fox, he served as a a highly decorated officer in World War I and later as field marshal in the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany during World War II. As Anderson argues, Rommel had changed his way of comanding, as he joined the chorus of Nazi Propagandist and secondly distinguishable in the increasing violence of the Nazis "hate-the-British" campaign. Also newpaper cuttings titled "Hate by the order" regarding the same topic are attched. An other report titled "Once again: Germany" deals with the German resistance and morale, both at home and at the front. As the author says, neither mass panic nor total collapse of organised life occured in Berlin, Frankfurt or Hamburg when the cities where under bombing.
