Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (16 pages)
Scope and Content
The file contains a polish news bulletin produced and published in London, October 11th 1941. In adition handwritten notes can be seen. It is reported about the conflict between German heavy industrialists, as the Hermann Göring Werke had acquired all the Upper Silesian coal-mines formerly owned by the polish state, and also those in which Jewish capital had been invested. The bulletin refers further to an article published in the Berliner Börsen Zeitung in September 13th 1941, that the negotiations which have been proceeding for several months with the Rochling concern and with Krupps to aquire the Upper Silesian foundaries as their own property, have been broken down. The state-owned Reichswerke were seen as a vehicle of hastening growth in ore mining and steel output regardless of private capitalists' plans and opinions, which is a main difference to private intrepreneurs like Krupp which was used to calculate differently.
