Scope and Content
The file contains handwritten notes, letters and press collections regarding political topics from 1936 till 1947. The press collection is from several British Newspapers and based on informations collected by British correspondents, mostly from Paul Anderson. Anderson was a German journalist, who, after the National Socialists came to power, moved to the United Kingdom via Stockholm. Since 1940, Anderson has been a political commentator in the German service of the BBC, working on the radio station of the European Revolution and under the pseudonym Peter Petersen. The topics seen in the collection differ from each other, some are regarding the 'German war economy', some are regarding foreign policy of European countries and the USA and others are reports of Anderson, regarding his impressions of the observed country. One Report is for example Andersons impressions of Berlin during war time and after.
