Scope and Content

The file contains copies of the book 'Productivity in industry' by Roy Pinsent, published in London 1949. The author discusses the question of how the industry could get more productive especially how to get mankind work efficiently. Incentives have been the promise of material benefit, higher wages or the chance of advancement and improved conditions of employment. As the mass-production proscribe mankind or makes it more of a cog in a machine. The author argues that the Moral Re-Armament founded by Dr. Buchman in 1938, would be a good way to change the workers attitude. As industrial leaders can train a man in matters of technology, no such planning or training is possible in regard to the moral and ideological motives which control the man's live. The training of the MRA however has a strong impact.
