[Civilians suggest propaganda ideas in 1944-1945]
Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (57 pages)
Scope and Content
The file contains several letters adressed to the Reichsminister of propaganda. The letters, written by German civilians, are concerning the situation and atmosphare in Germany in 1944-1945. The letters contain for example proposals for leaflets contributed to the ministry with the intention to improve propaganda. The length differs from small notes to page-long essays. All of them give examples for newer, better or broader propaganda inside of Germany and abroad. Also some criticism and complains regarding the coverage of the recent events in this years are mentioned. For example, why it was reported that the German soldiers are fighting against Russians, even though they are fighting against the Bolsheviks. Especially the public opinion about the Russians is mentioned very often in the letters. Also the Jews as a 'reason for the war', should be taken even more in responsibility also in the published propaganda, as some civilians demand in their letters. Concerning those suggestions propaganda was published, which is also attached in this file.
