Scope and Content
The file contains a report about 'the German youth movement' published by the Anglo - German information service. The report starts with the development and a servey of the German youth movement, continius with an explanation about the 'young German boys', boys of 10 - 14 and 15 - 18. Also the 'League of German girls' in the Hitler youth is beeing illustrated. Furthermore it is generally explained what the youth organizations of the German Reich and what the social ideas of the Hitler youth were. It has been in excistence since 1926 and when Hitler became Reich chancellor, the Hitler youth was already the largest German youth organization, having some 200.000 members. Till 1936 6.400.000 young people were members.
