Scope and Content

The file contains a speech held by the head of the foreign organization of the NSDAP, Gauleiter Ernst Wilhelm Bohle, on the occasion of the German Harvest thanksgiving festival in London on October 1st, 1937. The German ambassador invited him to London to adress the members of the German colony there. Mr. Bohle spoke about his work as a head of the foreign organisation of the NSDAP and pointed out that he takes the opportunity of this occasion to correct some quite erroneous notions in regard to their activities. Furthermore he draw attention to the 'great and profound change which has taken place in the lives of German citizen abroud as a result of the whole transformation which has been effected in the Reich itself'.
