The file contains documents concerning life and living conditions in the concentration camp Hadjeret el Meguil and other internment camps in collaborationist Vichy controlled North Africa. The file has been given to the Wiener Library as a token of grattitude due the Wiener libraries assistance in settling the restitution claims of its former owner, Mr. Peter Andreas. The material encompasses a type-written copy of a novel, "Levinstein", by Peter Andreas, based on his experiences in forced labour units in Vichy North Africa and the death of a fellow captive.
