Scope and Content
The file contains the so called 'Richterbriefe', a confidential circulation of the Reichsminister of Justice in the years between 1942-1944, adressed to all judges in the Third Reich, in order to illustrate cases in which the law had been applied in accordance with the national socialist ideology and when judicial rulings have been wrong or too mild in the eyes of the Reich's department of justice. The circulation is aiming to educate German judges in the spirit of national socialist ideology and influence them accordingly.
