Extent and Medium
1 electronic resource (8 pages)
Scope and Content
Memorandum on the legal status of Jewish citizens of the former Free City of Danzig (Gdansk), concerning the Federal Compensation Law of Germany after World War II, and their inclusion therein. The author reaches the conclusion that the Jewish citizens of Danzig were no different from the victims of persecution, discrimination, economic marginalization, exclusion from their professions and ultimately victims of the Holocaust in the Third Reich after 1937. Therefore Jewish citizens of Danzig are to be treated the same as citizens of the Reich in terms of compensation and damages.
