Scope and Content
The file contains a letter by Mr. F.P. Bishop, Assistant Manager, to Philip Graves. Mr. Graves was an Irish journalist and writer. While working as a foreign correspondent for The Times in Constantinople, he exposed The Protocols of the Elders of Zion in 1921 as an antisemitic plagiarism, fraud and hoax. In this letter Mr. F.P. Bishop answers Graves letter from February 18th. The Board decided that there would be no objection to him making use of the books and papers connected to the Protocols of the wise ma of Zion. However, the Board decided that the material remain the property of the Times.
