Scope and Content
The file contains the 18th and 19th Bulletin from a series of Bulletins dealing with events in the Bern trial. It has been published by the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities in Switzerland. This Bulletin is regarding the 11th day of trial on the 10th of Mai 1935. Since autumn 1934 the trial has been prepared in order to hear the case of the 'Protocols of the Wise man of Zion'. At this day the 18th and 19th sessions started and the trial was opened by judge Walter Meyer. The Bulletin informs at the beginning about the quality of Prof. Baumgarten expertise. "It was a pleasure to listen to him, someone who has only the truth in mind and who is a true researcher." Afterwards, Silvio Schnell's defender, Hans Ruef, filed his evidence, which was eventually denied. Then Brunschvig begins to present his process pleading. As it is common he first filed his applications and afterwards started his overview of the case. In addition, the summation by the expert Baumgarten is attached.
