Scope and Content
The file contains documents concerning the demise of George Brunschvig. These include an obituary in the 'Judische Rundschau Macabi', a telegram bearing condolences from the Jewish Agency to the Swiss Jewish community, and a telegram of condolences sent to the widow of the deceased by the Israeli minister of foreign affairs Abba Eban. Furthermore handwritten letters are attached. Georges Brunschvig was a Swiss lawyer and president of the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities (SIG) and internationally, he is best known for representing the plaintiff in the 1934–35 Berne Trial.
