Scope and Content
The file contains two letters by the Joint Foreign Committee to Dr. Saly Mayer and Mr. Lints Smith. The letters inform about the documents which have been sent from the archive of the Times concerning the forgery of the Protocols of the wise man of Zion. The Times reported in 1921 about the Protocols and unmasked them as a forgery and anti-Semitic propaganda. For the Bern trial this evidences and records have been requested. The Joint Foreign Committee suggested also the presence of Mr. Graves, the author of the articles in the Times, in the Bern trial. As preparations for the trial have been made, information and evidences have been sent to the people associated with the trial. Furthermore the Times supplied the plaintiffs with photographs.
