Scope and Content
The file contains an article titled “Les ‘Protocoles’ des Sages de Sion” from the newspaper Paix et Droit (no. 7, dated to September 1921?). Paix et Droit was the official journal of the organization L'Alliance israélite universelle (AIU) and the continuation of Bulletin de l'Alliance israélite universelle, which was published in Paris from 1860 to 1913. It details the way how the Protocols have been written and spread in Europe and the United States as a work of anti-Semitic propaganda, which shows how Jews and Free Masons have formed an alleged plot to dominate states and Christian society. It also provides evidence of their forging in Paris by the tsarist secret police, about 1900, on the basis of two fake works: “Biarritz”, a roman by Hermann Goedsche published in Berlin in 1866-1870, and “Dialogues aux Enfers entre Machiavel et Montesquieu” by Maurice Joly, published in Bruxelles in 1864 and 1868. The article recalls that the newspaper “Times” has published three articles (16-18 august 1921) which revealed the plagiarism of the Protocols. Further on, the article compares several passages of “Dialogues aux Enfers” and the “Protocols”.
