Scope and Content

The file contains newspaper clippings in several languages by several newspapers dated on the middle of May 1935. The newspaper clippings are press comments from all over the world which refer to the judgment of Bern. The 'Algemeine Handelsblatt' from Amsterdam writes in an article about the 'end of a legend', which alludes to the sentence passed in Bern. The world is now in possession of a verdict that clearly declares the Protocols of the wise man of Zion to be a fake. Nevertheless, it is asked whether the propaganda, based on the forged Protocols, now actually stops and if it can be eliminated. The English magazine 'The Tablet' reports that the falsification of the Protocols is now proven by court on three continents. The Norwegian newspaper 'Dagblade' entitles the report with the words: The Protocols of the wise man of Zion are immoral and falsified; the Jews win the process in Bern. The 'Neue Zürcher Zeitung' devotes a detailed editorial to the trial with the title "Ein Zeitbild". The big Swiss paper writes about the trial: It belongs in the context of the mental confusion and emotional disorientation, on which our time suffers. The nationalist newspapers in Germany, on the other hand, try to present the verdict in Bern incidentally and meaningless in very short concluding observations. Most newspapers in Germany then publish the same article and explain that the verdict and the trial itself have nothing to do with Germany and does not question the authenticity of the Protocols. Die Stimme, a Jewish newspaper, reports with the title 'The Protocols: Plagiarism, falsification, trash literature', detailed about the trial and the verdict.
