Scope and Content
The file contains the second Bulletin from a series of Bulletins dealing with events in the Bern trial. It has been published by the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities in Switzerland. This Bulletin is regarding the first day of trial on the 29th of April 1935. Since autumn 1934 the trial has been prepared in order to hear the case about the of the 'Protocols of the Wise man of Zion' and at this day at 2.30 pm o'clock the trial was opened by judge Walter Meyer. The Bulletin informs about the expertise of Prof. Baumgarten, which he started to present in the first session in the court. Furthermore he tries to answer the questions given by the judge Walter Mayer. The expert Arthur Baumgarten declared the 'Protocols of the Wise man of Zion' as a plagiarism and a forgery produced by helpers of the tsarist Russian Okhrana.
