Scope and Content
The file contains documents, abstracts and letters by Lifschitz, Leonhardt and Toedtli. The abstract of 52 pages informs about the investigations against Loosli and Leonhardt, as well as against Toedtli and Fleischhauer. Loosli and Leonhardt were accused of honor defeat, Toedtli and Fleischhauer for espionage. Furthermore the trials have been discussed and explained, informations about the defendants exchanged, general information about anti-Semitic propaganda and newspaper clippings and informations about the Toedtli archive. The Bern police charged him under Article II of the Swiss Espionage and confiscated his archive. The documents confiscated in the archive explains the connection between Fleischhauer and Toedtli, Fleischhauers letter of recommendation for Toedtli addressed to Goebbels. In addition the abstracts report about the Bern trial, the role of the Israelische Kultusgemeinde Bern in it and the topic of the Protocols of the Wise man of Zion and the propaganda used in Pamphlets and in 'der Stuermer'. In addition a list of pseudonyms used in the Welt-Dienst, also found in Toedtli's archive, is attached. Furthermore letters between Toedtli and Fleischhauer, as well as with the Deutsche Fichte-Bund can be seen. These letters are written in German and Russian and are written between 1935 and 1937.
