Scope and Content
The file contains the protocol of the tenth session of the Bern trial on the 4th of May 1935 at 9 o'clock in the morning. After the president, judge Walter Meyer, opened the session Fleischhauer started to report about the letter he got the day before from Loosli. After reading the letter out loud, he explained that the twist between the experts would be over and he is pleased that all three experts can now work in harmony with each other. Afterwards the word was transferred to Baumgarten and he began to question the testimonies of Fleischhauers witnesses and his remarks. Furthermore he questioned the methodology used by Fleischhauer, as he referred only to selected quotes and writings that could not reflect the totality of the Jewish people. In addition, Baumgarten could rely on his own experience and reports, which are obviously in contrast to Fleischhauer remarks. The session finished at 10.35 am.
