Scope and Content

This file contains newspaper clips from several countries written in German, English and French. The clippings were published during 1936 and concern the Bern trial, the trial against Loosli and the Fleischhauer-Eisenegger trial. The Volksbund leader Ernst Leonhardt complained against Carl Albert Loosli, because in 1935, as an expert in the Bern trial, he called 'die front' "endured" by the Third Reich. In 1937, the frontal relations (frontistische Bewegung) with Germany were revealed. The case Fleischhauer-Eisenegger deals with the connection between Fleischhauer, the anti-Semite, editor of the World Service (Welt-Dienst) and expert in the Bern trial and the leader of the "National Front" of Lausanne, Friedrich Eisenegger, who was accused of espionage. He wrote a letter to the German Minister of Propaganda Dr. Goebbels to make an urgent request for the release of money for the Germanization of Switzerland and for the support of his newspapers, furthermore he provided information to Fleischhauer. Also publications by the Welt-Dienst regarding this topics are attached.
