Scope and Content
The publication provides an overview through the collection of quotations from original German documents on the Nazi view on Christianity. Various speeches from Nazi leaders and their writings are being used to shed light on their worldview and disgust of Christian morality. Christianity is seen as an outdated concept that has no purpose in the new Germany. Its ethics are repudiated, it degrades womanhood, and Germany should be free of the church. Therefore, youth should be kept away from it. Two songs of the Hitler Youth disrespectful of the church are reprinted from Swiss newspapers in 1935. The final chapters deal with the new German religion.
