Scope and Content
The author laments that 3 years after the last attempt of resistance, the German people still know little about the few who actively resisted the Nazi's and paid with their lives. Their bravery had been suppressed or distorted by Nazi propaganda. His booklet provides an overview of how various groups abroad created writings and literature about the German resistance movement. Many newspapers, authors and others are named. The list begins with the first German resistance fighters, especially in concentration camps, portrayals of the resistance movements through British and American perspectives, the resistance of the churches, fictional writings and poems. The appendix includes an alphabetical list of publications on the topic.
