Scope and Content
The publication was published for the Memorial Day of the victims of fascism in Württemberg-Baden on September 15th, 1946. It honors all those who endured the prisons, concentration camps, abuse, torture and murder at the hands of the Nazis for their beliefs or their race and religion. It is up to the survivors to lead Germany towards freedom and undo the poisonous indoctrination the Germans were exposed to and many still hold on to. The pamphlet lists "words of farewell" from Buchenwald, Dachau and Mauthausen. It includes the poems "The dead to the living", "Shoes from Lublin", and various brief testimonies by survivors about the horrors they had to endure or witness. A list of camps and their victims is provided, as well as methods of punishments.
