Scope and Content
The publication reports on the resistance work of the worker mountaineer association of Dresden in the border areas of the “Sächsischen Schweiz” (Saxonian Switzerland) and the Erzgebirge. It recounts the gathering of 20 socialist survivors of concentration camps and exile who had gathered after the war in a mountain hut named after one of their comrades, Kurt Schlosser, who had been executed by the Nazis on August 16th, 1944, to reminisce about the work of their association in the fight against Hitler. Their expertise was used to produce and smuggle propaganda material, help people escape to Czechoslowakia, and other activities. The second part of the booklet provides short biographies of members who were murdered by the Nazis.
