Scope and Content
The pamphlet provides insight into the emigrant life of Hungarians living in France. The reason for their emigration in the last century, their integration and cultural life is described. The names of newspapers and other publications are listed including quotes. A separate chapter focuses on the resistance efforts in this small group and their achievements. Around the same time a movement for the independence of Hungary with founded whose goals and work is quoted from its by-laws and articles from the emigrant press. Many intellectuals and artists in the movement are featured with biographical background information. The Hungarian resistance in communities of Grenoble, Toulouse, and Lyon are mentioned. Fallen comrades are eulogized and the days of liberation are celebrated in the last chapters.
