Scope and Content
The publication by the communist party provides an overview of the resistance by the communists and its party in France during the German occupation. The fate of the “Martyrs of the 22nd of October in Chataubriand” is narrated. 27 prisoners were executed by the Germans during a reprisal action, most of them communists. They are named and shortly eulogized.
