Scope and Content
The publication highlights some of the heroic deeds of members of the Resistance in France. The author laments the fact that life has to go on without them. It includes reference to an article the author wrote on May 18th, 1945 “Avant que le Rideau tombe” (Before the curtain falls) about the resistance in 1945 and its present stage which led to a critical response. The author addresses and clarifies these concerns. The future of the French nation opposite new international challenges is analyzed in the last chapter.
